A delightfully cosy thatched inn, set in a lovely village, the Bearslake Inn is a traditional Devon Longhouse, and dates back in parts to the 13th century. You can enjoy a pint of local Otter Bitter in the bar, and the restaurant, with its crisp white-clothed tables, is a smart venue for the home-cooked food. Seared scallops with chorizo and pea purée might be followed by venison haunch with braised red cabbage.
