Our Inspector's view

Beaver Cottages occupy an old Cornish farmhouse converted into two holiday lets. The Lodge has two bedrooms (sleeps 6) and the Smithy has one bedroom (sleeps 4). Both cottages have luxury sofa beds in their lounges. Each cottage has its own private and enclosed dog-friendly garden. The cottages are located a quarter of a mile from the South West Coast Path (SWCP via a stile in the driveway, with both Tintagel (shops and pubs) and the sandy Trebarwith Strand beach within walking distance. New for 2020 is Cabin Beaver – a beautiful bespoke built shepherd's hut with separate bathroom. This is available for one night stays, ideal for walking the SWCP.

About the area

Discover Cornwall & Isles of Scilly

Cornwall has just about everything – wild moorland landscapes, glorious river valley scenery, picturesque villages and miles of breathtaking coastline. With more than 80 surfing spots, there are plenty of sporting enthusiasts who also make their way here to enjoy wave-surfing, kite surfing and blokarting.

In recent years, new or restored visitor attractions have attracted even more visitors to the region; the Eden Project is famous for its giant geodesic domes housing exotic plants from different parts of the globe, while nearby the Lost Gardens of Heligan has impressive kitchen gardens and a wildlife hide.
