Our View
Mary, Queen of Scots, Oliver Cromwell, 'Bonnie' Prince Charlie, noble earls and wealthy merchants all feature in the history of Callendar House. Costumed interpreters describe early 19th-century life in the kitchens, and the 900-year history of the house is illustrated in the 'Story of Callendar House' exhibition. The house is set in parkland, offering boating and woodland walks. Regular temporary heritage, natural history and visual arts exhibitions in Callendar House's Large Gallery. Enjoy panoramic views of the parkland from the tea room on the second floor.
