As the chalets are self catering we have changed our policy on meet & greet; the santised keys are left in the door ready for guests. Once a cottage is cleaned/santised the door is closed & no further entry is permitted. All items which could harbour Covid have been removed. Instructions are given for placing all used linen/towels & rubbish into the plastic bins provided, so limiting the handling of used materials. Instructions on how to get tested if necessary & the next steps the guests must take, if the test is positive. Hot tubs are treated by an outside commercial company.
Our Inspector's view
Within the country grounds of The Pig on the Hill three cedar cabins, especially designed and crafted for The Pig, offer accommodation which suits for a short or long stay. The Pot Belly, Old Spot and Saddleback self catering style cabins offer luxury two bedroom North Devon holiday cottage accommodation. All three benefit from views of countryside and the coastline along with being sited within walking distance of the award winning gastro pub. The accommodation offers functional and stylish kitchen facilities and each cabin comes with a private sun terrace that has its own hot tub, and is finished and furnished to a very high spec, with internet TV provided.

About the area
With magnificent coastlines, two historic cities and the world-famous Dartmoor National Park, Devon sums up all that is best about the British landscape. For centuries it has been a fashionable and much loved holiday destination – especially south Devon’s glorious English Riviera.
Close to the English Riviera lies Dartmoor, one of the south-west’s most spectacular landscapes. The National Park, which contains Dartmoor, covers 365 square miles and includes many fascinating geological features – isolated granite tors and two summits exceeding 2,000 feet among them.
Not surprisingly, in Dartmoor the walking opportunities are enormous. Cycling in the two National Parks is also extremely popular and there is a good choice of off-road routes taking you to the heart of Dartmoor and Exmoor. Devon’s towns and cities offer stimulating alternatives to the rigours of the countryside.
