Glasshouse Restaurant
“Bright, stylish dining with Jane Austen connections.” - AA Inspector
BASINGSTOKE, HAMPSHIRE
The Glasshouse Restaurant is where you can enjoy a mouth-watering and wonderfully laid-back meal with your family, friends, or colleagues. Whether you choose to indulge in a selection of Head Chef Jacob Rowley's sumptuous small plates or dine on a British classic such as beer-battered haddock & chips, there's something for everyone to enjoy. A ‘field to fork’ philosophy is followed, and they pride themselves on using local produce sourced from within a 50-mile radius. Some produce even comes from their own Kitchen Garden, within which they grow a fantastic variety of vegetables, herbs, and even fruit. As proud members of the Hampshire Fare, they consciously source from neighbouring Hampshire suppliers and bringing local communities together. Their innovative menus and wholesome approach to cooking has earned the restaurant two AA Rosettes, the gold Beautiful South Award for Restaurant of the Year and the Bronze 'Taste of England' award from VisitEngland.

Discover Hampshire
Hampshire’s varied landscape of hills and heaths, downlands and forests, valleys and coast is without rival in southern England. Combine these varied landscapes and terrains with secluded and idyllic villages, complete with thatched and timber-framed cottages and Norman churches, elegant Georgian market towns, historic ports and cities, restored canals and ancient abbeys, forts and castles, and you have a county that is paradise for lovers of the great outdoors.
If you’re a walker, stride out across the high, rolling, chalk downland of the north Hampshire ‘highlands’ with far-reaching views, walk through steep, beech-clad ‘hangers’ close to the Sussex border. Or perhaps take a gentler stroll and meander along peaceful paths through unspoilt river valleys, etched by the sparkling trout streams of the Test, Itchen, Avon and Meon. Alternatively, wander across lonely salt marshes and beside fascinating coastal inlets or, perhaps, explore the beautiful medieval forest and heathland of the New Forest, the jewel in Hampshire’s crown.
