Our View
Yarmouth’s Hippodrome, which opened its doors for the first time in 1903, is an institution. Housed in the last remaining purpose-built circus building in England, and one of only a few left in the world, it has a programme of summer circus and water shows that are simply spectacular. In winter you may catch an opera or concert. There’s a small museum, the Hippodrome Circus Museum, where you can see props and old photographs. Opening times are the same as for the box office.

The quiet market towns of Fakenham and Swaffham are prime examples, as well as Thetford, with its popular museum focusing on the TV comedy series Dad’s Army which was filmed in the area.
