Our View
The visitor centre features an exhibition on the battle of 1689, when the Jacobite army routed the English, although the Jacobite leader, 'Bonnie Dundee' (John Graham, 1st Viscount Dundee), was mortally wounded in the attack. The wooded gorge is a notable beauty spot, admired by Queen Victoria, and there are some splendid walks. Thrill-seekers may like to try the Highland Fling Bungee, a purpose-built bungee platform, 40 metres up.
