The Lade Inn
“Ale shop, long beer festival and home-cooked food” - AA Inspector
In the heart of the Trossachs National Park, the stone-built Lade Inn was contructed as a tearoom in 1935. The family-owned and run inn is known for its own real ales and for its 16-day beer festival from late August to mid September. There is also an on-site real ale shop selling bottled ales from microbreweries throughout Scotland. The home-cooked menu offers many allergen-free dishes. Typical choices are Scottish smoked salmon with oatcakes; crispy battered haggis balls; Aberdeenshire pork and leek sausages; beer-battered North Sea haddock and home-made tartare sauce. The beer garden with its three ponds and bird-feeding station appeals greatly to families.
