Guests will not have to have contact with anybody on arrival or during their stay. They will be asked to strip all beds themselves before departure and place inside laundry bags, whilst also leaving cottages well ventilated where possible. We will ask that all guests remove all rubbish from the property from the bins provided. We will wash all dishes in the dishwashers between each guest and thoroughly disinfect all hard surfaces, door handles and remotes. There will be hand sanitiser in the car park, games room as well as disinfectant wipes. Clear guidance provided on COVID and keeping safe.

Manor House Farm Cottages comprise of 4 luxury barn conversions, newly renovated and opened in 2019 offering accommodation for 2-22 people. The original Old Farmhouse dates back to 1750 and sleeps 4 people. The Hayloft has 6 bedrooms and sleeps 12 with an amazing large open plan living/dining/cooking space that is perfect for a family get together or celebration with friends. The Cowshed is another cottage that sleeps 4 people but all on ground level and up to 2 dogs are welcomed here. Finally, The Milking Parlour is the ultimate luxury couples retreat. All cottages have under floor heating

About the area
The natural features of this central English county range from the modest heights of the Peak District National Park, where Kinder Scout stands at 2,088 ft (636 m), to the depths of its remarkable underground caverns, floodlit to reveal exquisite Blue John stone. Walkers and cyclists will enjoy the High Peak Trail which extends from the Derwent Valley to the limestone plateau near Buxton, and for many, the spectacular scenery is what draws them to the area.
The county is well endowed with stately homes – most notably Chatsworth, the palatial home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, with its outstanding collections of paintings, statuary and art. Other gems include the well preserved medieval Haddon Hall, the Elizabethan Hardwick Hall, and Kedleston Hall, whose entrance front has been described as the grandest Palladian façade in Britain.
The spa town of Matlock is the county’s administrative centre and other major towns of interest include Derby and the old coal mining town of Chesterfield, with its crooked spire. Around the villages of Derbyshire, look out for the ancient tradition of well dressing, the decorating of springs and wells – the precious sources of life-sustaining water – with pictures formed from flowers.
