Our View

This spectacular stretch of coastline offers fine views and hidden delights. Heading north from Polzeath, discover Pentire Point and The Rumps, views of which inspired First World War poet Lawrence Binyon. Mining for lead once provided local communities with employment but now the long deserted mine shafts are home to the greater horseshoe bat. It's possible to catch a glimpse of them as they emerge from their roosts deep below the cliffs. Lundy Bay nestles alongside Epphaven Cove and sits in a secluded valley that thrives with rich flora and fauna. This tranquil spot is perfect for bird watching and is a haven for butterflies and wild flowers. Explore Port Quin and Port Gaverne, both of which were once bustling fishing ports are now charming preserved historic environments.
