Our View
Charlestown is a small and unspoilt village with a unique sea-lock, china-clay port, purpose built in the 18th century. The Shipwreck and Heritage Centre was originally a dry house for china clay built on underground tunnels. Now it houses the largest display of shipwreck artefacts in the UK, along with local heritage, diving exhibits, and an RMS Titanic display. A recent addition is a Nelson display which commemorates the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Trafalgar.
