Our View

St Merryn, just outside Padstow, is home to this ancient pub, part of the Stein portfolio. Situated across the road from the parish church and overlooking a peaceful valley, it remains very much the village boozer. It oozes character, with slate floors, beams and roaring log fires, and they’ve kept the food offering equally traditional. Start with crispy mackerel salad or half pint of prawns, continue with traditional battered fish and chips: or curries from Rick's travels; and finish with sticky toffee pudding and clotted cream.
