Set in seven acres of woodland on the north Cornish coast, close to Tintagel Castle, the Mill House is half a mile from the surfing beach at Trebarwith Strand, one of the finest in Cornwall. The log fires in this atmospheric stone building – a charming former corn mill dating from 1760 – warm the residents’ lounge and slate-floored bar, where wooden tables and chapel chairs help create a relaxed, family-friendly feel. Locally brewed real ales are supplied by Tintagel brewery, and the ciders are Cornish Orchards and Healey's Cornish Rattler. You can eat outside on the attractive terraces, while a more intimate dinner in the Millstream Restaurant might involve Boscastle beef fillet, pulled beef cheek croquette, sweet potato, autumn greens, crispy parsnips, red wine and port jus; or Tintagel ale battered haddock with chips. Regular live entertainment events feature local musicians.
