Our View
The Scottish Crannog Centre is a unique, award-winning and interactive living history museum at Kenmore on the shores of Loch Tay. Built by the Scottish Trust for Underwater Archaeology, the Centre features an authentic reconstruction of an Iron Age loch dwelling based on excavation evidence from the 2,500 year old site of Oakbank Crannog at Fearnan, Loch Tay. Costumed guides take you on a journey back through time into Scottish pre-history; sit inside the home of a Celtic family and learn how these ingenious people made the most of their surroundings. Visitors can try their hand at ancient crafts and technologies - wood-turning, wood-spinning, grain-grinding and fire-making.
