Our COVID-19 measures:
Updated info sent to guests before their stay, advising measures taken & what local attractions/pubs are open. We are a small B&B & will usually have two rooms open so don't plan to have signage. Guests will be shown sanitiser points on arrival at a social distance. Guests will eat in separate rooms. They will be asked to preorder breakfast to make social distancing easier in the kitchen. Their table will be laid up that morning with the specific cutlery for their meal. No wipes in the room, we don't expect them to clean. They will be given their own tube of hand sanitiser & tissues.

Our Inspector's view

Warm hospitality and a genuine welcome are both hallmarks at this family-run establishment. This wonderful house dates back to the 1400s and is steeped in history. Today, it offers en suite bedrooms providing comfortable accommodation in a peaceful countryside location. Breakfast is a hearty affair featuring locally sourced produce.

About the area

Discover Devon

With magnificent coastlines, two historic cities and the world-famous Dartmoor National Park, Devon sums up all that is best about the British landscape. For centuries it has been a fashionable and much loved holiday destination – especially south Devon’s glorious English Riviera.

Close to the English Riviera lies Dartmoor, one of the south-west’s most spectacular landscapes. The National Park, which contains Dartmoor, covers 365 square miles and includes many fascinating geological features – isolated granite tors and two summits exceeding 2,000 feet among them.

Not surprisingly, in Dartmoor the walking opportunities are enormous. Cycling in the two National Parks is also extremely popular and there is a good choice of off-road routes taking you to the heart of Dartmoor and Exmoor. Devon’s towns and cities offer stimulating alternatives to the rigours of the countryside.
