Our COVID-19 measures:
Pinfield Hotel - AA Covid-19 Changes Here are the changes we’ve made: Hand Sanitisers will be in reception and all our guests will be asked to use them on arrival and departure. We have taken out all removable soft furnishings from our bedrooms e.g. cushions and bed throws. We will try and alternate the use of our rooms so there will be a 72 hour gap between bedrooms being used. If this is not feasible, we will air the rooms for at least 4 hours with the windows open, spray all non removable soft furnishings (like headboards, lampshades, curtains and upholstered chairs) with Dettol All in One disinfectant spray. Remove duvets and pillows which will be washed at 60 degrees and replaced with a clean spare set. All hard surfaces to be cleaned with disinfectant, together with touch points, such as light switches, door handles, TV remote controls with disinfectant wipes. The TV remote control to be freshly wrapped in clingfilm for added cleanliness. Door keys are being soaked in a bleach solution and wrapped in clingfilm again for added cleanliness. Daily housekeeping is no longer carried out. Most of our guests only stay 1 or 2 nights, so that is no problem. If guests stay longer than 4 days, we will clean their rooms at a convenient time when they have vacated the room, open the windows, change bedding and clean shower room. A deep clean is then carried out on departure. We do not allocate a time limit to clean a room, we spend however much time is required to do a deep clean in line with government / Pinfield Hotel’s procedures. PPE is used for cleaning rooms e.g. apron, gloves and mask - our clothes are washed daily to avoid contamination. Our breakfast room will be closed. We are no longer serving breakfast and now offering our accommodation on a “room only” basis. Prior to the Covid-19 situation it was going that way as most of our guests are on a budget and did not want to pay extra for breakfast, so we have made the decision to go for “room only”. Guest hospitality trays once disinfected, replenished then covered. Payment is now be contactless, guests will pay at the time of booking online or we will take payment during their stay using the “mail order / customer not present” facility on our card machine. Customer invoices will be emailed to guests to minimise personal contact. ------------------------------------ We are also emailing this questionnaire out to guests prior to arrival: PINFIELD HOTEL ‐ COVID‐19 Questionnaire Please fill out the below questionnaire and return it to [email protected] least 24 hours before arrival date. About The area

Discover Buckinghamshire

Buckinghamshire is a land of glorious beech trees, wide views and imposing country houses. Victorian Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli savoured the peace and tranquillity of Hughenden Manor, while generations of statesmen have entertained world leaders at Chequers, the Prime Minister’s rural retreat. Stowe and Waddesdon Manor are fine examples of even grander houses, set amid sumptuous gardens and dignified parkland.

The Vale of Aylesbury is a vast playground for leisure seekers with around 1,000 miles (1,609km) of paths and tracks to explore. Rising above it are the Chiltern Hills, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty covering 308sq miles (798sq km). They are best appreciated in autumn, when the leaves turn from dark green to deep brown. In the southeast corner of the Chilterns lie the woodland rides of Burnham Beeches, another haven for ramblers and wildlife lovers. Although the county’s history is long and eventful, it’s also associated with events within living memory. At Bletchley Park, more than 10,000 people worked in complete secrecy to try and bring a swift conclusion to World War II. Further south, an otherwise unremarkable stretch of railway line was made infamous by the Great Train Robbery in the summer of 1963.
