"Ideal for all kinds of petrolheads, young and old."
Overview
Instead of a trip from A to B, the Great British Car Journey takes you from Then to Now, with the help of more than 130 vehicles that tell the story of a hundred years in the life of the British motor industry. You start in the 1920s with Austin and Morris, and with the aid of a tablet computer and the cars and exhibits, work your way up to the modern day. If you want to drive an old motor like your parents or grandparents had, they've got an experience for that, and a cafe for a pit stop.

About the area
The natural features of this central English county range from the modest heights of the Peak District National Park, where Kinder Scout stands at 2,088 ft (636 m), to the depths of its remarkable underground caverns, floodlit to reveal exquisite Blue John stone. Walkers and cyclists will enjoy the High Peak Trail which extends from the Derwent Valley to the limestone plateau near Buxton, and for many, the spectacular scenery is what draws them to the area.
