Overview
The museum portrays the lifeboat, maritime, fishing and local history of the area, including its main exhibit the Zetland - the oldest lifeboat in the world, dating from 1802. There is also a replica of a fisherman's cottage c1900 and almost 2000 other exhibits. The museum is housed in an early lifeboat station, now a listed building.
