Port Gaverne★★★★
"Skilled cuisine in an enviable setting, rooms are individual in style"
Overview
You'll find antique furniture, nooks and crannies, a wonderfully comfortable bed and good food here. This traditional inn is located in a tiny and peaceful cove on Cornwall's dramatic north coast, one headland away and five minutes' walk from Port Isaac. The 15 en suite bedrooms are all comfortably furnished, well-maintained and spotlessly clean; no two are the same. All rooms come complete with full satellite TV, radio, direct-dial phone and coffee- and tea-making facilities. Also available is a relaxing sitting room, outside terrace and sunny beer garden. Food is not to be missed, superb local produce cooked with great skill to create impressive dishes, packed full of flavour.
Our inspector loves...
Atmospheric - Such a great feel here, a proper inn with long history
A stone's throw - Quite literally a stone's throw from the beach
Snuggly rooms - Individually styed rooms with bags of character
Tuck in - Great food with an emphasis on all that's local
Balconies - Ask about a room with balcony, great to watch the world go by
