Hawkshead Hall Farm★★★
"Working farm with a superb amenities block, close to Hawkshead."
Overview
Hawkshead Hall Farm is a small site that is situated on a working Lakeland farm in a perfect location for those looking for an active holiday in the heart of one of the most beautiful parts of the Lake District National Park. The campsite lies just 10 minutes away, by foot, from the small attractive village of Hawkshead; a path has been created to enable guests to walk safely off-road into the village to shop or explore. There are pitches for tourers, including 20 fully serviced hardstandings, and for tents. This busy site has very good amenities, with spotlessly clean, well-appointed toilets and a spacious, comfortable TV room, plus free WiFi.

About the area
Cumbria's rugged yet beautiful landscape is best known for the Lake District National Park that sits within its boundaries. It’s famous for Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, and Derwent Water, ‘Queen of the English Lakes', but other lesser-known areas in the south, such as the Lune Valley and the coastal towns, are secret gems of wide cobbled streets and rolling hills.
