Victoria Square is located in the conservation area of Kings Park just minutes from Stirling…
Our View
The Heritage Centre stands close to what is traditionally believed to have been Robert the Bruce's command post before the 1314 Battle of Bannockburn, a famous victory for the Scots and a turning point in Scottish history. The Heritage Centre includes audio-visuals and an exhibition, and visitors can walk on the battlefield where there is a statue of Robert the Bruce himself. Restoration of monuments will be taking place in preparation for the 2014 700th anniversary, so some scaffolding and fences may be present. A new Battle of Bannockburn visitor centre will open in March 2014 to mark the 700th anniversary of this famous battle.
