The Idle Rocks Restaurant

“An elegant, but very comforting restaurant with stunning harbour views.” - AA Inspector
ST MAWES, CORNWALL

Our Inspector's view
The Idle Rocks has stood in St Mawes since 1913. It's only had a handful of owners in that time, and was most recently acquired in 2010 by David and Karen Richards. It reopened in early 2013 and is now something of a community hub, that also does a great job of welcoming visitors. The atmosphere is very much a 'home-from-home' and the views of the harbour and across the sea are lovely. Menus have a strong Italian flavour, with fresh small plates, handmade pasta and wonderful wood-fired pizzas.
