"A wealth of history, character and real comfort plus genuine hospitality."
Overview
Dating back to the 12th century, there is a tangible sense of the past at this fascinating inn. Still very much the village local, it was first licensed in 1477 and boasts a standing stone dating back some 5,000 years. Today, the inn blends contemporary styling with historic features. Bedrooms have plenty of character and no two are alike; some of the rooms have four-posters. The stylish restaurant offers accomplished cuisine with a range of dishes that make good use of high quality, local produce. In summer, meals can be enjoyed in the extensive garden that has stunning views of Dartmoor.
