Trading since 1926, Veeraswamy Restaurant, situated in a sumptuous first-floor venue, enjoys its status as the granddaddy of the UK’s Indian restaurants. Indian and Oriental artwork, huge crystal chandeliers and colourful glass pendant lamps add to the elegance, as do polished staff dressed in smart uniforms. The cooking is a refined take on classic Indian dishes made with top-class ingredients.
