"Long-established and world-famous restaurant with charming bedrooms."
Overview
In the heart of a charming village, L'Enclume is a delightful 13th-century property that offers incredible 21st-century cooking. Once the village forge (l'enclume is French for 'the anvil') it's now the location for some of Britain's best food; Simon Rogan's imaginative and adventurous cooking. Individually designed, modern en suite rooms of varying sizes and styles are in the main property and dotted about the village only a few moments' walk from the restaurant.

About the area
Cumbria's rugged yet beautiful landscape is best known for the Lake District National Park that sits within its boundaries. It’s famous for Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, and Derwent Water, ‘Queen of the English Lakes', but other lesser-known areas in the south, such as the Lune Valley and the coastal towns, are secret gems of wide cobbled streets and rolling hills.
