"Experience seasonal menus amidst period splendour"
Overview
Owning brewery Thwaites have tastefully upgraded this Grade I listed building, incorporating period features into a stunning period interior. Iron-railed steps sweep up to the grand entrance, and the tree-shaded terrace is a popular place to dine alfresco. The contemporary menu might offer glazed pork shank, winter broth of root vegetables, pearl barley and roast shallots; or spiced sweet potato and pumpkin burger; there's also a good range of small plate dishes and sharing boards.
