A former coaching inn close to Cowes town centre, ferry terminals and marina, the Duke of York has been run by the Cass family for over 40 years. Fuggle-Dee-Dum from the island’s Goddards Brewery is one of several real ales, while quality home-cooked food includes oven-baked sea bass, and traditional battered cod, along with bangers and mash, spaghetti bolognaise, and BBQ pork ribs. There are daily blackboard specials, vegetarian choices and Sunday roasts.
