If you’re seeking thrills and spills, then this theme park is the place for you – and with around 1.8 million visitors a year, it’s one of Yorkshire’s most popular attractions. It’s set in 375 acres of North Yorkshire countryside, and with over 100 rides and activities, there’s something for everyone at Flamingo Land. Enjoy a dozen stomach-churning white-knuckle rides, take a monorail ride and stroll through the extensive zoo, where you’ll find tigers, giraffes, hippos and rhinos. The theme park also boasts five great family shows and Mumbo Jumbo – with the steepest drop on any roller coaster in the world. The scale is vast – there are at least 18 different places to eat for a start – so plan ahead if you can, and consider advance purchase of the Q-buster tokens, via the website.
