Inspired by monster coal-cutting machines, the Cutter building houses emotive displays about life in the mining community, colourful banners and exhibition galleries. It is also home to the archives for Northumberland with records dating back 800 years. Unique listed colliery buildings have also been brought back to life for the Colliery Experience.
