Willington Dovecote and Stables (NT)

Recommended by Visit England Logo
Overview
Enjoy the tranquil setting of this outstanding 16th-century stone-built dovecote and stable buildings, which nestles alongside Willington church. Home to over 1,500 resident pigeons, a nesting site for barn owls and kestrels, the dovecote is a great spot for bird-watching. Please note: the dovecote is only open between April to September on the last Sunday of every month, otherwise admission is by appointment via the voluntary custodian.
Location
Church End, WILLINGTON, MK44 3PX
About the area
At its most southern point, Bedfordshire is only 35 miles from London Waterloo, so there’s a good reason for the UK’s fifth busiest airport to be called London Luton Airport. The county is one of England’s smaller in terms of area, but more than makes up for it in terms of business HQs and visitor attractions.
