Overview
Share the adventurous life of Scotland's greatest explorer, from his childhood in the Blantyre Mills to his explorations in the heart of Africa, dramatically illustrated in the historic tenement where he was born in 1813. Many of his personal belongings are on show, including journals, and medical and navigational equipment. A statue depicting Livingstone under attack by a lion, was designed by Ray Harryhausen.
