Overview
Serpentine Galleries, named after the lake in Hyde Park, is situated in the heart of Kensington Gardens in a 1934 tea pavilion, and was founded in 1970. Today the Gallery attracts over 1.2 million visitors a year and is one of the best places in London for modern and contemporary art and architecture. Joined by the newly opened Serpentine Sackler Gallery, housed in a former 1805 gunpowder store and only a short walk away, enjoy a full programme of exhibitions and events in both galleries.
