"Atmospheric open-air museum of local life."
Overview
The Village Church Farm is a museum that explores local life over the last 300 years. Look around the farmhouse which was built in the 1760s, apparently making it the oldest house in Skegness. Then you can explore the ‘mud and stud’ farm labourer’s cottage, seeing how the locals once lived. There's also Bob the traction engine and more.

About the area
Much of the fenland around the Wash has been drained of its marshes and reclaimed as highly productive farmland. Further north, the coastline, with its sandy beaches, has been developed to accommodate the holiday industry, with caravans, campsites and the usual seaside paraphernalia.
