Pied à Terre
"Contemporary cooking from Charlotte Street grandee."
Overview
A veteran of the Fitzrovia dining scene, Pied à Terre has remained a favoured destination with London foodies for 35 years. The polar opposite of trendy Nordic minimalism, the intimate space is low-lit and sultry with dark hues, mirrors, leather banquettes and curvy blue velour chairs. Chef Aggelos Kassais brings imaginative and highly skilful cooking with global influences underpinned by classical French technique. Innovative, bold flavoured dishes might include super-fresh Orkney scallop céviche with beetroot, finger lime and kumquat, followed by Cornish cod, courgette mint purée, nasturtium beurre blanc and trout roe.
