"Modern cooking in grand historic setting."
Overview
Allt Yr Afon is the fine dining restaurant within Wolfcastle Country Hotel nestled in the heart of Pembrokeshire between the towns of Haverfordwest and Fishguard. A large stone-built former vicarage that dates from the 19th century, the property is now a privately-owned and personally run hotel with stunning woodland walks on the doorstep and only a short drive to the breathtaking coast. Set in an idyllic village, it retains plenty of wider interest for visitors to the area as it’s also said that Welsh rebel leader Owain Glyndwr may be buried in the field alongside the property. The hotel’s intimate (there are just six tables and dinner service only) and candlelit dining room is atmospheric and stylish with high ceilings, warm copper feature-lighting, luxurious furnishings and high-quality table appointments.
