Glenapp Castle Restaurant
"Contemporary cooking in historic castle."
Overview
There’s nothing quite like a castle for a sense of drama, and the setting in Glenapp Castle Restaurant certainly won’t let you down. The Victorian baronial-style pile is a luxurious boutique hotel whose restaurant overlooks 36 acres of glorious gardens and woodland and there is a sense of grandeur in its high ceilings and plushly upholstered decor. Modern Scottish dishes are built on diligently sourced top-quality materials, witness an Orkney scallop of exceptional quality, perfectly timed and matched with roast apple purée, shiso, kombu, radish and sesame. Next up, Glenapp Estate venison comes with mushrooms, barley, Hispi cabbage, caramelised onion and red wine sauce.
