Overlooking the 200-acre Stray common, the Harrogate outpost of the HdV chain occupies a luxuriously converted terrace of Georgian townhouses. Brown leather booths and chairs, candles and hops around the windows add to the relaxed French bistro buzz of the restaurant where Gallic classics are served alongside a weighty wine list full of interesting options.
