Gordon's

"Vibrant Scottish cooking by the sea."
Overview
Tucked away in the tiny coastal hamlet of Inverkeilor, near idyllic Lunan Bay, Gordon’s has been a gastronomic destination for three decades thanks to the efforts of the Watson family. Exposed stone work and a beamed ceiling add to the cosy feel of the dining room where the modern cooking makes great use of quality produce. Butter-poached cod is accompanied by pickled turnip, mussel velouté and Exmoor caviar and might lead on to red deer loin with three corner leek, hen of the woods, celeriac and pinot noir sauce. Finish with chocolate, Rioja pear, muscovado ice cream and cocoa nib.

About the area
It is said that before God sent the earth spinning through space he patted it and thus his fingers created the five beautiful Glens of Angus. Kirriemuir is the gateway to the little Angus Glens, valleys which stretch from the low farmlands of Strathtay into the moorland of the Grampians and the fringes of the Cairngorms
