Overview

Dating from the 12th century, this historic inn was built for the residents of Blanchland Abbey and has served everyone from monks to lead miners. The vaulted stone crypt is now an atmospheric bar, with a medieval vibe extending to the lower dining area. The upstairs dining room has a rustic-contemporary style in keeping with the modern menu.
