The Caledonian Edinburgh, Curio Collection by Hilton★★★★★
"Former Victorian railway hotel famous for its charm."
Overview
Set against the magnificent backdrop of Edinburgh Castle, The Caledonian is a former Victorian railway hotel built for the steam age in 1903. It hasn't lost any of the charm, character and elegance that made it famous. 2024 saw a huge refurbishment programme in all areas including the spacious bedrooms which continue to offer comfort and luxury and no lack of modernity. The decades old Pompadour, now with Dean Banks at the helm offers award winning food whilst the all new social hub of The Court is the more casual option. Here live acoustic music can be enjoyed over a relaxed menu which evolves throughout the day. Wonderful public areas have also enjoyed refurbishment and investment with great results achieved. The Spa is a popular destination for relaxation and rejuvenation. Many rooms enjoy breath-taking views of the castle.

About the area
Edinburgh is one of Britain’s most spectacular cities and both Old and New Towns have UNESCO World Heritage status. At its heart, the Old Town is a treasury of architecture stretching back to medieval times with its labyrinth of narrow lanes (‘wynds’ or ‘closes’).
