Overview
The Grosvenor Museum’s nationally important collections celebrate Chester’s cultural heritage. The Roman galleries explore life in the fortress of Deva and display the largest group of inscribed and sculpted Roman stones from a single site in Britain. The paintings and sculpture in the Art Gallery span half a millennium of art in Cheshire, while the Silver Gallery presents the definitive collection of Chester silver.
