"A wonderful backdrop for modern country-house cooking."
Overview
An elegantly restored Georgian pile with stunning views over the Shropshire countryside and close to Ludlow, the Forelles restaurant at Fishmore Hall is housed in the light-filled orangery extension. It’s a lovely setting to enjoy classic country-house cuisine built on pedigree materials sourced from within a 30-mile radius (apart from seafood which comes from Devon and Scotland).

About the area
Perhaps nowhere else in England will you find a county so deeply rural and with so much variety as Shropshire. Choose a clear day, climb to the top of The Wrekin, and look down on that ‘land of lost content’ so wistfully evoked by A E Housman
