"An impressive barn conversion that suits couples, groups of friends, or families with children."
Overview
With a fully glazed frontage which maximises light and farm views, the Hayloft sits centrally in the farmyard, an impressive conversion of a traditional black boarded Essex barn, formally used for crop storage and threshing hay. The conversion retains many original and natural features including original beams upstairs. Accommodation-wise, the open plan downstairs living area looks out onto the enclosed courtyard patio and outside seating for six with a gas barbecue provided from May to September. There are three bedrooms upstairs; a master with King bed, ensuite shower room, TV and views of the farm. There's also a double bedroom with storage and original oak features, a twin bunk bedroom and a family bathroom, with heated towel rail and in tub shower. There is ample and secure vehicle parking alongside the private gated entrance. This quiet retreat suits couples, groups of friends, or families with children. For child-friendly holidays, there are toys, books, games and toddler equipment – including a highchair, travel cot, booster seat, stair gate and toddler step stool. Entertain the whole family with the Smart TV and there are also chargers for Android and Apple devices to keep everyone online via the free mobile broadband WiFi. All linens and towels are provided with beds made up on arrival, plus a welcome tea tray. The property is strictly no smoking and no vaping. We do accept up to 2 well behaved dogs (please enquire for extra cost / T&Cs of dog stays) and trained assistance dogs are welcome at no extra charge. For guests with limited mobility, please note that you may not be able to access first floor bedrooms and bathrooms – please contact before booking to confirm the facilities are suitable.
