Overview
Middleton Lakes is a patchwork of wetlands, meadows and woodland in the River Tame Valley. Trails lead visitors through rich habitats, where they may see grey herons, avocets, kingfishers and lapwings as well as otters, butterflies, dragonflies and rare wetland plants. The Welcome hub provides information and the chance to grab a snack. Kids can play in the meadow, or go pond dipping. The reserve also has Old English Longhorn cattle and konik ponies.
