"Popular pub and fine dining restaurant on the Cornish coast"
Overview
This listed 16th-century coaching inn with its castellated tower sits on one of England’s most stunning coastlines, at the end of a glorious wooded valley where the rivers Jordan and Valency meet. Known affectionately as ‘The Welly’ by both locals and loyal guests, it retains much of its original charm. The traditional Long Bar, complete with minstrels’ gallery, serves a good selection of Cornish ales, ciders, malt whiskies and wines. The kitchen team prepares fresh local produce with a bar menu available lunchtimes and evenings. A seasonal dining menu is also available in the evenings and children have their own menu (some adult main courses can be served in half-size portions). Dogs, walkers and muddy boots are all welcome.
