Overview
Time your ferry crossing to Portsmouth carefully and, since it’s down the same cul-de-sac as the Wightlink terminal, you’ll be able to visit this mock-Tudor dining pub. A design-savvy approach to furnishing is apparent in the spacious bar, where there are smart leather sofas, and in the elegant dining area; lunchtime sees sandwiches, ciabattas, seafood specialities, as well as old favourites like fish and chips, and sausages and mash. Specials may include rosemary and black garlic roasted partridge; grilled hake fillet; and sweet potato, coconut and chickpea curry. The en suite bedrooms are stylishly decorated with light and airy decor and modern amenities.
