On the border of Kent and Sussex, this 16th-century brick inn is perfectly situated for visitors to Bodiam and Sissinghurst castles. Brought back to life after years of decline, The Queen's Inn offers individually styled bedrooms and two restaurants, one with a charcoal grill and pizza oven. Local, seasonal produce dominates the menu, with typical choices including rump of lamb with globe artichoke, potato rosti, peas and broad beans.
