Overview
Sibton White Horse Inn is off the beaten track in the heart of the Suffolk countryside, but located just five minutes from the A12 at Yoxford and 10 miles from the coast. This rustic 16th-century inn retains much of its Tudor charm and incorporates stone floors, exposed brickwork and ships’ timbers believed to have come from Woodbridge shipyard. A free house, the bar with its raised gallery is the place to enjoy a pint of Adnams Southwold, Green Jack Trawlerboys or Woodforde’s Once Bittern. There is a choice of dining areas to sample the award-winning food, while the secluded courtyard has a Mediterranean feel when the sun comes out. Owners Neil and Gill Mason are committed to producing high-quality food from fresh local ingredients – and to prove it they grow many of their own vegetables behind the pub. At lunch, you can order from the menu or from the selection of light bites and sandwiches while dinner offers restaurant fare. Children’s portions are available at lunchtime, and six-year-olds and over are permitted in the evening.
