"Seasonal dining in a quiet village setting."
Overview
This rather unassuming inn is set just off the green in a quiet village. The conservatory-style extension opens onto a lovely terrace overlooking the pond. A cosy place, with wood and tile floors and a mixture of furnishings, it’s very much geared towards dining, with a modern British menu including some pub classics and a definite Italian/Mediterranean influence.

About the area
Berkshire consists of two distinct parts: the western half, which is predominantly rural, with the Lambourn Downs spilling down to the River Lambourn and the Berkshire Downs to the majestic Thames, and the eastern half of Berkshire, which offers plenty of opportunity to get out and savour open spaces. Reading and Newbury are the county’s major towns, and the River Kennet flows through them both
