In the pretty village of Jevington, The Eight Bells is a heavenly spot to round off or work up an appetite for a hike on the South Downs. Inside, it’s smart and uncluttered with beams and an inglenook as a reminder of its heritage, while the kitchen champions local produce in dynamic modern flavour-driven dishes washed down with Sussex wines and ales.
